High-density hardboard manufactured from eucalyptus wood fibres, internationally known as Hardboard. The bonding of the fibres is achieved without the addition of chemical substances, as the natural lignin of the wood acts as the binder.
After the pressing process, the boards go through a tempering treatment using heat, which improves moisture resistance and dimensional stability. Hardboard is a high strength product with low flame propagation, excellent homogeneity and dimensional stability. It is without chemical additives making it ideal for the packaging industry.
Produced from non-native eucalyptus plantation hardboard is eco-friendly and sustainable.
The boards can be mechanically cut using circular saws with tungsten carbide teeth and are compatible with all common woodworking adhesives. Hardboard has excellent paintability due to its smooth surface which is free from knots, cracks, and porosity. If moisture stabilization is required, it is recommended to moisten the rough side of the board 24 hours before use.
Typical end uses include laminates, partitions, furniture manufacturing, automotive parts, signs, displays, shelving, packaging, mouldings, drawers, door frames, concrete formwork, shelves, chair backs, flooring, and many other applications
